Job summary

South Gippsland Shire is seeking an experienced Open Space Leader to supervise staff across parks, reserves and townships. Based at the Leongatha Depot with occasional work from Foster, you will plan, coordinate and deliver a wide range of open space maintenance and construction projects.

You will bring a strong background in horticulture, parks and gardens, with certificates in related fields, and the ability to manage teams, contractors and resources to ensure high standards of service across

Qualifications

• Experience in horticulture, parks and gardens and leading operational crews.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience programming works and coordinating teams and materials for service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Open Space and Environment staff.
• Plan, organise and implement maintenance and construction works.
• Ensure delivery of high‑quality horticultural services across parks and reserves.
