Job summary

The Station Grocer in Ballina, NSW, is seeking a reliable all-rounder for a morning-focused, on-site role. You’ll open the store, operate the console, make barista coffees and provide friendly customer service.

This casual position offers 3–5 shifts per week (including weekends) with early start times across 4:30am–10:00am and weekend premiums. Join a supportive team and grow with us.

Qualifications

• Early morning start availability (4:30am)
• Barista experience or willingness to learn quickly
• Reliable and punctual with a friendly service approach
• Able to multitask in a busy morning environment
• Retail or hospitality experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Open the store and complete opening procedures
• Operate the console (fuel sales, EFTPOS, transactions)
• Make barista coffees and serve morning customers
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service
• Serve across fuel, retail, and food service areas
• Keep the store clean, stocked, and presentable
• Support smooth handover into mid shifts
• Handle general store duties as required
