Tomingley Gold Operations seeks an Open Cut Mining Superintendent to lead safe, productive and cost-effective mining in Open Pits. You will translate mine plans into weekly/daily programs and oversee drill & blast, load/haul and contractor performance.

Permanent full-time on-site at Tomingley, with focus on safety, budget adherence and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, NSW regulatory knowledge and a track record of delivering targets are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Open Cut mining operations and leadership.
• Strong practical knowledge of hard rock drill & blast and load & haul operations.
• Experience leading operational teams and managing mining contractors.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver production targets safely and within budget.
• Strong understanding of mining safety and risk management and systems.
• Working knowledge of NSW mining legislation and statutory requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• NSW Quarry Manager Practicing Certificate or eligibility is desirable.
• Relevant mining/technical/operational qualification is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide visible safety and operational leadership across Open Cut and Surface activities.
• Lead day-to-day drill and blast, load and haul and associated mining operations.
• Translate the approved 1–6 month mine plan into executable weekly and daily work programs.
• Monitor performance against production, cost and productivity targets and implement corrective actions where required.
• Manage Open Cut contractors, including safety, productivity, cost and contractual performance.
• Lead, coach and performance manage direct reports and operational personnel.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment, training and succession planning.
• Work closely with Technical Services to ensure mine plans are achievable and appropriately resourced.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, approvals, licences, management plans and company standards.
• Lead or support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Contribute to budgets, forecasts and operational cost management.
