Job summary

Genesis Minerals Limited is seeking an experienced Mine Geologist for open pit operations at Laverton, WA. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will manage grade control, ore block design and resource development drilling, ensuring accurate data and practical mine outcomes.

You will mentor junior geologists, contribute to mine planning, and support monthly reconciliations while embracing ASPIRE values and a collaborative site culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years' experience in a Mine Geologist role, preferably within open pit mining.
• Experience in grade control, geological interpretation and resource development drilling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee grade control and near-mine resource development drilling activities, maintaining quality and accuracy of geological data.
• Support day-to-day mine geology activities, including pit mapping, ore block design, ore mark-outs and ore spotting.
• Provide geological guidance and operational support to mining teams to optimise ore extraction and minimise dilution and ore loss.
• Step into a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Senior Mine Geologist, providing direction and support across mine geology and drilling activities.
• Assist with end-of-month processes, geological reconciliations and resource model updates.
