Job summary

Genesis Minerals Limited in Western Australia is seeking a Mining Engineer (Planning) – Open Pit to deliver short-term planning, scheduling and operational support from our Leonora Tower Hill operation. The role involves near-term plan development, dig design, and collaboration with production, geology and survey teams.

The successful candidate will have open pit experience, proficiency with Deswik/Datamine, strong Excel skills, and the ability to respond to a dynamic mining environment;

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering required.
• Experience in open pit planning and optimization in mining operations.
• Proficient in Deswik or equivalent scheduling software; good Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform short-term mine planning and weekly schedules.
• Prepare dig plans, face maps, and operator instructions.
• Coordinate with geology, survey and production teams.
• Support cost-effective, safe mining operations.
