Job summary

Catalyst Metals Limited is seeking an Open Pit Senior Geologist to lead geological functions for open pit mining. The role includes grade control, modelling, reconciliation and resource development with strong leadership of the geology team.

You will work with Mining, Planning, Metallurgy and Processing to maximise ore recovery and ensure geological standards are met across the operation. FIFO from Perth is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Extensive geological experience in mining, ideally gold operations.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead grade control activities across open pit mining operations.
• Develop and optimise geological and grade control block models.
• Manage drill planning, data collection, QAQC processes.
• Provide geological mapping and orebody interpretation for active mining areas.
• Deliver daily, monthly, quarterly and biannual reconciliation reporting.
• Collaborate with Mine Planning for design and scheduling.
