Job summary

Bravus Mining and Resources' Carmichael mine in Queensland is seeking an experienced Open-Cut Examiner to oversee mining operations and ensure safety and compliance with CMHSA across the mine.

The role involves a 7/7 rotating day and night shift roster designed to support a healthy work-life balance, with leadership responsibilities and proactive risk management in open-cut coal mining operations.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Open Cut Examiner qualification.
• Experience in open-cut coal mining operations with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of mining safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct statutory inspections each shift across open-cut mining areas.
• Monitor and manage operational risks to ensure safe production.
• Support the development, review and auditing of the site SHMS.
• Assist with coal quality, spontaneous combustion and CHPP interface matters.
• Contribute to production planning, risk assessments and JSA.
• Ensure compliance with the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
• Escalate and address safety issues promptly to maintain safe mining operations.
• Complete and maintain accurate operational and statutory documentation.
