Job summary

The Extend Group is hiring for an After School Care OSHC role in Regents Park, NSW. You will plan and deliver engaging science and educational activities, maintain a safe environment, and provide healthy snacks while supporting compliance and stakeholder engagement.

This casual role offers a five-week roster with potential ongoing opportunities, weekly shifts from Monday to Friday, and professional development payment support.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, School Aged Care, Youth Work or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Plan and program science experiments, sports, arts and educational activities that kids enjoy.
• Lead a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Prepare healthy, tasty snacks to keep energy up.
• Collaborate with the Programs Engagement Manager and compliance team on assessments and ratings.
• Build strong connections with families and stakeholders to support OSHC programs.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the service to run smoothly.

About your service: St Peter Chanel Catholic Primary School located in Regents Park, NSW

Hourly Rate: $49.88 - $52.15 Per Hour (Including Worker Retention Payment Scheme) + 12% Super.

• After School Care: 2:40 PM to 6:30 PM.
• Days Required: Monday to Friday.
• Contract Type: Casual (5-weeks fixed roster, commencing 27 October 2026 with strong potential for ongoing relief opportunity with other partnerships around the region).
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

• Chef it up: Whip up healthy, tasty snacks that keep the energy levels high.
• Champion Quality: Work with your Programs Engagement Manager on Assessment & Ratings with the full backing of our compliance experts at our unit TEG Compass.
• The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OSHC programs.
• The Clockwork Catalyst: Manage the day-to-day "business" of the service, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

What You Bring to the Mix

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Diploma, Bachelor’s, Masters in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Youth Work, Community Services, and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved! (Desirable but not essential).

• The Essentials: A valid Working With Children Check, Child Protection Training Certificate, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management (willingness to obtain).
