Job summary

Lifetime Connect’s Nambucca Valley Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) is seeking a casual team member who builds positive, inclusive relationships with children, families and the wider community. OOSH runs 2.30pm-6pm on weekdays during term time and vacation care 7am-6pm during school holidays.

Join a small, supportive team with supervision to support your professional growth, flexible hours, and opportunities to develop your skills in a play-based program while keeping children safe and engaged.

Qualifications

• Builds positive relationships between service, schools and community.
• Collaborates with Nominated Supervisor to deliver learning experiences.
• Fosters relationships with children and families.
• Willing to step in as Responsible Person per roster and be suitably qualified.
• Maintains safety and wellbeing of children in care.

Lifetime Connects Nambucca Valley Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) offers great after school and vacation care programs to primary school aged children. We are looking for a casual member to join our team who is motivated to develop positive, inclusive relationships with all children and families, and our community.OOSH operates between 2.30pm-6pm Monday- Friday during school terms. Vacation Care operates Monday- Friday between 7am-6pm during school holidays, and pupil free days.

What we’re looking for?

• Help us build strong, positive relationships between our service, local schools and the wider community.
• Enjoy autonomy and creative freedom to work in collaboration with the Nominated Supervisor in developing and implementing the program to deliver inspiring learning experiences for children.
• Foster positive relationships with children and their families
• Step in as "Responsible Person" according to the roster (applicants who meet the requirements) and are suitably qualified.
• Responsible, high attention to detail and a drive to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in your care

Desirable but not essential?

• Cert III in Children Services (not essential)
• Enjoy engaging with school aged children and seek pleasure in their activities and are passionate about supporting their development and learning through a play-based program
• Have a genuine interest in creating experiences for school aged children
• Confident interpersonal skills when working with a child, their families
• Strong problem-solving skills and can-do attitude
