Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Core Services Engineer to design, administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments and VMware-based infrastructure onsite in Melbourne or Canberra. You will optimise services, implement automation, and collaborate with cyber security and software teams to deliver trusted technology solutions for national security projects.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server environments in medium to large enterprise settings.
• Working knowledge of AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and identity management services.
• Experience with VMware vCenter and virtualised server infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Exposure to security hardening, patching, monitoring and operational support in enterprise environments.
• Ability to develop PowerShell scripts or similar automation to improve efficiency.
• Ability to investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis and resolve incidents across complex environments.
• Experience producing technical documentation and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, administer and support enterprise Windows Server platforms, AD services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and supporting management systems.
• Build, maintain and optimise VMware-based infrastructure to ensure availability, performance and security.
• Implement automation and SOPs to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, software teams and stakeholders to deliver trusted solutions.
