Job summary

Carrington Care Camden/Macarthur is seeking a dedicated WHS Advisor to lead workplace health and safety across our established aged care organisation of ~800 employees. You’ll be our dedicated WHS specialist, working with operational leaders and our People & Culture team, with senior leadership support to get things moving.

There’s plenty to do, and that’s part of the opportunity. This is a hands-on, onsite role that requires prioritisation and practical action.

Qualifications

• Relevant WHS qualifications and sound knowledge of NSW work health and safety.
• Understanding of workers' compensation and recovery at work requirements.
• Ability to translate WHS requirements into practical actions.

Responsibilities

• Strengthening WHS systems, processes and safety culture.
• Providing practical WHS advice and coaching to leaders and managers.
• Identifying risks across workplaces and supporting practical controls.
• Supporting incident management and leading complex investigations.
• Coordinating injury management and supporting sustainable recovery at work outcomes.
• Monitoring hazards, incidents and corrective actions.
• Identifying trends and turning WHS information into action.
• Supporting consultation, WHS capability, reporting and assurance.
