Job summary

Capgemini Melbourne is seeking an IT support specialist to provide timely technical assistance to end users, coordinate procurement of laptops and mobiles, manage on-site hardware assets and provisioning, and troubleshoot desktop, network, and peripheral devices.

You will maintain security and compliance, perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, and document procedures while collaborating with colleagues to resolve complex issues; NV security clearance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• DC patching on a monthly basis and ad hoc changes per vulnerability policy.
• Maintain and manage network and system architectures including firewalls, switches, servers and storage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical network and system issues.
• Support root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Plan and implement changes to network/system infrastructure per change policy.

Responsibilities

• Initiating procurement of laptops and mobiles and managing local site stocks.
• Hardware management including asset tracking and end-of-life disposal, break fix, enrollment, and provisioning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop devices.
• Manage device upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure policy compliance.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and peripherals.
• Assist with network connectivity issues (Wi‑Fi and wired).
• Assist with user account creation, modification, and deletion, access permissions and security groups.
• Raise procurement requests on behalf of the business.

Your Profile

NV security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this role.

• Collaborate with product principal to resolve complex issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks – daily health check and firmware updates to prevent disruption to business operations; and
• Document and maintain technical information, procedures, and knowledge, ensuring they are up to date.
