Job summary

Gate Gourmet, a global leader in airline catering, is seeking a QA Manager based at Tullamarine Melbourne Airport. You will lead the site’s quality assurance programs, maintaining ISO 22000 and Halal certifications, and drive continuous improvement across QA systems.

You will oversee a Quality Coordinator and collaborate with regional teams to uphold food safety standards. With 3–5 years in QA and a relevant degree, you’ll mentor staff, conduct audits, and coordinate corrective actions to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food science, food technology, biology or chemistry.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance and food safety.
• Experience as QA Manager in a similar operations environment.
• Recent HACCP or ISO 22000 certification (within past 3 years).
• Auditor training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site QA systems to meet ISO 22000 and Halal standards.
• Coordinate daily QA activities to meet objectives and quality standards.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits and manage non-conformance closure.
• Report QA performance to regional leadership and drive KPIs.
• Oversee microbiological sampling and floor inspections for compliance.
