Job summary

Kilcoy Global Foods Australia in Melbourne is seeking a Quality & Safety Assistant Manager to support the Operations Manager in driving QA and safety objectives across our sites. The role focuses on maintaining effective QA practices and ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for workers, contractors and visitors.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and its application.
• Experience conducting operational risk assessments.
• Experience managing workers' compensation, injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Experience partnering with operational leaders to foster a strong safety culture.
• Solid understanding of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site compliance with federal, state and local food safety requirements.
• Lead quality system audits and management reviews; implement corrective actions.
• Provide input on quality control techniques and processes.
• Investigate quality issues and determine corrective actions to minimise impact.
• Develop and document safe work procedures and job safety analyses.
• Monitor and improve safety system; coach teams on incident reporting.
