Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join the Gladstone Operations team in a permanent, full-time role. The position suits engineers based in Gladstone or nearby regions who want a long-term career with regular home nights.

In this role, you will provide engineering and project support to a high-performing operations team, coordinating activities across quality, planning, and commercial functions, and building strong client relationships on key projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Australian recognised).
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, 3D models, GA drawings and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site support functions including Quality, Technical, Planning and Commercial activities.
• Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling and forecasting.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, reports and commercial records.
• Support tender submissions, estimating activities and project execution.
• Develop work packs, methodologies, ITPs and QA documentation.
• Perform material take-offs, procurement activities and scope reviews.
• Monitor project performance against budget and schedule targets.
• Identify and manage variations and commercial opportunities.
• Participate in client and contractor meetings and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Support safe project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
