Job summary

Lead Group is seeking an Apprentice Mobile Service Technician in Melbourne to train across hydraulic hose assembly, fitting, installation, servicing and repairs. You will travel to customer sites, providing onsite support as you develop practical skills under experienced technicians.

No prior hydraulic experience is required; full training, mentoring and a clear path to trades qualification are offered in a supportive, long‑term career.

Qualifications

Interest in pursuing a career in hydraulics, mechanical fitting or related trade.
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills on the job.
Safety‑conscious with a proactive attitude to work.

Responsibilities

Assist experienced technicians with onsite hose servicing and repairs.
Learn to assemble and install hydraulic and industrial hoses and fittings.
Use hand tools, measuring equipment and service machinery.
Identify and troubleshoot hose and fitting issues.
Help operate and maintain the Mobile Service Unit.
Complete service documents and work orders.
Develop customer service and communication skills.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Work in a team while growing independence.
Participate in overtime and on-call roster as training progresses.
