Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a skilled MineStar underground implementation specialist to deploy and configure underground MineStar products at client sites in Australia. You will install, test, and train end users and administrators, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and site needs.

The role emphasizes hands-on system installation, module configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation. Onsite, full-time work at the Perth office with potential opportunities in Adelaide or Brisbane;

Qualifications

• Technical Bachelor’s Degree or relevant IT/engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with software system implementation in mining environments.
• Experience with IT system architectures and cybersecurity.
• Experience with underground mining onboard technology installation and commissioning.
• Experience in Fleet Management implementations is desirable.
• Experience in Underground mining is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
• Onsite full-time work at Caterpillar Perth, with Adelaide or Brisbane considered.

Responsibilities

• Implement Caterpillar MineStar underground products at customer sites.
• Install and configure underground MineStar systems per contracts and site needs.
• Configure modules based on customer requirements.
• Plan and execute integrated testing and customer acceptance testing.
• Investigate and resolve technical problems; respond to customer questions.
• Provide technical training to end users and system admins.
• Perform implementation and integration tasks for clients.
• Assist with documentation, training, and specifications.
• Follow project management processes and assignments.
• Provide basic training on standard implementation processes and MineStar usage.
• Support dealers and customers during installation, configuration, debugging, testing, and integration.
