Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an experienced Training Consultant to design, develop and deliver MineStar service training for dealers and mining customers.

Based in Perth or Brisbane, the role requires hands‑on MineStar deployment knowledge and strong training capabilities to upskill dealer technicians and customer staff on installation, configuration, integration and maintenance. Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands‑on experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and supporting MineStar systems in mining environments.
• Strong understanding of onboard mining technology, machine electronics, communications systems and system integration.
• Experience working directly on mobile mining equipment and supporting mining technology deployments in operational environments.
• Well‑developed diagnostic and fault‑finding skills across hardware, software and communications systems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technicians and service personnel.
• Willingness to travel to support dealer and customer training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training programs covering MineStar products, systems and service procedures.
• Provide instruction on installation, commissioning, configuration and maintenance of MineStar technologies.
• Deliver practical hands‑on training focused on machine integration, onboard hardware, networks and system troubleshooting.
• Support dealer and customer technicians in developing diagnostic and fault‑finding capability.
• Develop and improve training materials to align with product updates and best practices.
• Partner with product support, engineering, dealers and customers to identify capability gaps and training requirements.
• Provide coaching and technical mentorship to service personnel across Caterpillar’s dealer network.
• Promote safe work practices and Caterpillar service excellence standards
