Job summary

CircuitHub, Inc. is seeking a hands-on System Build Engineer to scale our factory automation systems from CAD designs into physical hardware at our Cambridge site. You will work with high‑mix, small‑batch equipment, interpreting 3D CAD models and assembling end effectors, gantries, and tooling.

Onsite role with flexible hours to accommodate caregiving or other commitments. Experience with Fusion 360 or similar CAD tools and PLL/TwinCAT familiarity is a plus, along with CNC and wiring knowhow.

Qualifications

• Interpret 3D CAD assemblies to build and modify automation hardware.
• Familiarity with CAD systems (Fusion 360 or equivalents) in professional or hobbyist settings.
• Experience with PLC commissioning/debugging, especially TwinCAT, CNC machining, and cabinet wiring is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Build automation systems from a mix of custom and off-the-shelf parts, including end effectors and gantries.
• Assist in commissioning and testing of systems.
• Coordinate with logistics partners for shipment of installed systems.
• Provide feedback to design teams and implement design changes as needed.
• Perform general workshop tasks such as tidying, stocking consumables, and machine cleaning.
