Qualifications

• Understand the problem and turn it into a clear specification.
• Generate ideas and choose the right mechanism.
• Design it in CAD and prove it with engineering calculations.
• Prototype and build parts in our in-house CNC shop.
• Bring it to life with software on our robotics operating system.

Responsibilities

• Conceive new mechanisms for handling electronics parts and robotic tasks, using AI to scope and specify the problem.
• Design gantries and end effectors in Fusion 360.
• Use AI agents to run engineering calculations, and know when to distrust them.
• Machine prototype parts in our in-house CNC shop.
• Analyse end-effector behavior from video and revise its geometry and control approach to improve throughput.
• Program machine behavior on our in-house robotics OS, with AI agents doing the heavy lifting.
• Specify sensors that catch errors while a machine runs, or monitor a chemical process.
• Prototype and deploy a new test robot for in-line PCB validation.
• Commission machines and hand them over to our build team to scale up.
• Work across our US and UK sites to share learnings and shape the roadmap.
