Job summary

UGL Limited on Curtis Island, Gladstone QLD, seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform on-site maintenance tasks across the APLNG facility. The role involves basic trades work, carpentry, forklift operations and EWP duties, with 5 x 8-hour shifts and overtime as required.

Ideal candidates have relevant licenses, inductions, and the ability to work independently within a safety-focused team. Training and development opportunities are available within a 9,000+ strong CIMIC Group

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 in carpentry or similar background is desirable.
• Shutdown and logistics experience is desirable.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence is mandatory.
• Construction-induction (white/blue card) is required.
• High Risk Work Licence - Forklift is required.
• HR Class Truck Licence or above is desirable.
• EWP and other permits may be required or obtained.
• Safe Work at Heights desirable or willing to obtain.
• Ability to hold work permits/permit receiver and solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Collect and distribute equipment around site as directed.
• Weed and pest management and landscaping maintenance.
• Minor carpentry repairs (doors, concreting, painting, grouting).
• Operate forklift for loading/unloading trucks.
• EWP operations for various scope on site.
• Assist with minor vehicle servicing or fault finding.
• Handle deliveries, packaging and material organisation.
• Work 5 x 8hr shifts with overtime when required.
• Participate in shutdown events and extended shifts as needed.
