Amazon is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer II to embed with enterprise customers, design and deploy AI-powered production systems, and drive measurable business outcomes. You will own full software lifecycle from requirements to production, while mentoring teammates and improving operations.

You will travel 30–50% to work directly with customer teams, translate business needs into technical designs, and integrate AI model workflows, data sources, and applications for robust, low-latency

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years in Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment.
Experience communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience with agentic and spec-driven development (developing AI agents a plus).
Experience with AI tools: eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.

Responsabilités

Embed within customer engineering teams and understand business value of systems.
Design cohesive AI-enabled production systems from requirements to deployment.
Own production for your workstream including monitoring and incident response.
Mentor and train new team members on system construction and operation.
Accelerate customer adoption by codifying reusable AI patterns and accelerators.
