Job summary

Cancer Care Associates is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Western Haematology and Oncology Clinics in West Perth on a permanent 0.8 FTE basis (30 hours per week). No night shifts, set days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with 5 weeks annual leave pro‑rata and professional development opportunities.

You will deliver oncology nursing care, administer cytotoxic chemotherapy with ADAC competency, and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout their

Qualifications

  • Must hold current and unrestricted RN registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience administering cytotoxic chemotherapy and ADAC competency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and carers.
  • Strong clinical and problem‑solving abilities with evidence‑based practice.
  • Effective care planning and coordination within a team.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a nursing team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence‑based, comprehensive oncology nursing care.

At our Western Haematology and Oncology Clinics (WHOC) in West Perth, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a permanent part-time position, 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week), working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based, comprehensive oncology nursing care.
  • Practice in accordance with state-based Health Legislation and ACQSHC National Standards.
  • Provide holistic nursing care, high-level patient assessments, and referrals for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality improvements and collaborate with the Quality and Clinical Governance team to ensure best practices.
  • Conduct nursing observations and administer medications in line with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications And Skills
  • Current and unrestricted registration and experience as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Experience administering Cytotoxic chemotherapy and related cancer treatments, including ADAC chemotherapy competency.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy for patients and their caregivers.
  • Strong clinical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective care planning and coordination skills.
  • Dedication to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.

Desirable
  • Competency in CVAD management, IV Cannulation, and Phlebotomy
