Overview

Join us in making a difference in the lives of cancer patients in our local community in this rewarding role. At our renowned Western Hematology & Oncology Clinic (WHOC) site, we are seeking passionate and dedicated professionals for a permanent part-time Haematology/Oncology Registered Nurse position. This role will work upward of 60 hours per fortnight (extra hours negotiable), with no weekend or after-hours work. Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager, we are seeking an experienced haematology/oncology nurse with recent experience in medical haematology and/or medical oncology.

Western Haematology & Oncology Clinic (WHOC) was designed with patient involvement. All 14 treatment bays offer patients a relaxing view of Totterdell Park, which links to our wellness through cancer care philosophy. We offer onsite specialist consulting suites, pathology collection, laboratory, compounding pharmacy, Perth Blood Institute clinical trials unit, and allied health services (including Dietician, Physiotherapy, and Clinical Psychology). Support and training will be provided to help you succeed in this role, including professional development opportunities during your time with WHOC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based, comprehensive oncology nursing care.
  • Practice in accordance with WA Health Legislation and ACQSHC National Standards.
  • Provide holistic nursing care, high-level patient assessments, and referrals for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality improvements and collaborate with the Quality and Clinical Governance team to ensure best practices.
  • Conduct nursing observations and administer medications in line with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Skills
