Job summary

St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney seeks an experienced Clinical Trial Coordinator/Registered Nurse to lead the coordination and delivery of high-quality clinical trials at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centred research in line with regulatory standards.

The role requires current RN registration, tertiary qualifications in clinical research, and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA
• Holds or working towards tertiary qualifications in clinical research/clinical trials
• Combination of relevant work experience and study
• Demonstrated leadership and initiative in a team
• Experience with secure data management and trial data collection
• Experience in oncology/haematology or research with Good Clinical Practice knowledge
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritise in a complex environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centred clinical trials
• Screen and recruit participants; coordinate study visits and trial schedules
• Educate patients and staff; collect and manage trial data
• Coordinate biological samples; manage data queries within timelines
• Maintain communication with patients, families, healthcare professionals, sponsors and partners
• Contribute to quality improvement, research capacity and access to therapies
• Provide evidence-based nursing care within scope of practice for RN (Clinical Research) role
