Job summary

Icon Oncology Group's Clinical Research Assistant role supports the day-to-day delivery of oncology and haematology trials at the Wesley centre in Brisbane. You will assist with participant visits, trial materials, documentation and regulatory compliance under the guidance of experienced researchers.

The position offers structured training, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a collaborative multi-site research environment across a growing national network.

Qualifications

• Relevant undergraduate qualification in health sciences, nursing or allied health, or current enrolment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and databases
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Genuine interest in oncology, haematology and clinical research
• Experience in pathology or laboratory processing is highly regarded but not essential

Responsibilities

• Collect, process and dispatch samples and materials required by trial protocols
• Prepare and maintain clinical trial laboratory kits, supplies and samples
• Prepare participant visit requirements and assist with appointment scheduling
• Liaise with external hospitals and healthcare providers to obtain tissue, pathology or medical information
• Support Coordinators and investigators with trial administration and documentation
• Prepare trial documentation for investigator review and sign-off
• Maintain investigator site files and essential documents per Good Clinical Practice
• Support source data collection to be attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original and complete
• Work with study monitors and facilitate on-site and remote monitoring
• Occasionally travel between clinics to support cross-site activity
