Job summary

Sharma's Kitchen in Sydney's west is seeking an organised distribution office person to manage customer orders, coordinate with warehouse and drivers, and keep invoicing accurate.

You'll take orders by phone and email, enter into MYOB, and ensure orders are dispatched correctly while maintaining clear contact with customers and management. This on-site role requires attention to detail in a busy food wholesaler environment.

The role offers full training and a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, order processing or office administration, ideally in food wholesalers or distribution.
• Experience with MYOB or a similar accounting system.
• Confident with Excel and email.
• Accurate with numbers and detail and able to follow a set process.
• Clear, confident English on the phone and in writing.
• Able to stay calm and organised when it gets busy.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders by phone and email and enter them into MYOB.
• Keep in regular contact with customers, encourage orders before the cut off and tell them about promotions and new products.
• Pass orders to the warehouse and sort out shortages and changes with the warehouse team and drivers.
• Check picked orders and loaded trucks against invoices before dispatch.
• Invoice customers once final weights are confirmed and email invoices out.
• Allocate customer payments daily and follow up overdue accounts.
• Check stock arriving into the coolroom each day against the delivery docket.
• Count packaging and consumables weekly and raise reorders.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints.
• Report on ordering trends, including customers who have slowed down or stopped ordering.
