Job summary

La Trobe University seeks a Study Hub Learning Support Advisor to deliver tailored academic support at the Northern Study Hub, Broadmeadows and Epping. The role is fixed-term and on site, working with students from diverse government-funded providers.

The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree with 4+ years in adult learning or student support, and experience in student engagement and retention strategies within higher education.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with at least 4 years experience in adult learning, student support or higher education environments.
• Experience delivering high-quality student-centred learning and supporting university transition and course completions.
• Intercultural understanding and/or multicultural lived experience; ability to converse in languages other than English is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored support in academic skills, digital literacy, tertiary attainment and student wellbeing.
• Coordinate student engagement activities and foster an inclusive, supportive study environment within the Study Hub.
• Collaborate with university and TAFE stakeholders, community partners and students to enhance participation and success in higher education.
