Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power Australia in Richlands, Queensland, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. This on-site, field role focuses on hydraulic troubleshooting, repairs and installations for a diverse customer base, with the autonomy to manage your day on site.

You will build strong customer relationships, read engineering drawings, and perform fault finding and inspections while upholding safety and quality standards in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification required (Fitter / Hydraulics or similar).
• Strong experience with hydraulic systems, components, and cylinder repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to carry out hydraulic troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
• Perform breakdown maintenance on mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on hydraulic systems and components.
• Prepare detailed strip and inspect reports, including measurements and parts identification.
• Carry out portable machining and welding as required.
• Measure, test, and inspect components to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Build strong working relationships with customers through professional service delivery.
