Job summary

Fire and Rescue NSW is seeking On-Call Firefighters who work from their local Fire Station and respond to a wide range of incidents including fires, vehicle accidents and chemical hazards. The role includes community fire safety work and education, as well as collaboration with NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Police.

Applicants should be team oriented, reliable and live or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station, with a valid NSW driver’s licence and daytime

Qualifications

• Must be available daytime seven days a week.
• On-call employment status is required.
• Live and/or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station.
• Valid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P1) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires and other emergencies as part of a local FRNSW Fire Station team.
• Undertake community fire safety work and education activities.
• Collaborate with NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Police during incidents.
• Attend incidents and drills as required by the brigade.
