Job summary

Fire and Rescue NSW is seeking On-Call Firefighters who operate from their local Fire Station to respond to fires and other emergencies, support community safety programs, and train with partner agencies. You are compensated for incident attendance, drills, and community education activities.

Flexibility is essential, with availability across weekdays and weekends. You must live within a reasonable distance of your FRNSW station and complete ongoing training in firefighting basics, rope work,

Qualifications

• Must have valid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P1).
• Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Live within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station.
• Training provided regularly covering firefighting basics, rope work, power tool use and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Attend fires and other emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents or chemical hazards.
• Undertake community fire safety work and education activities for schools, seniors, and local businesses.
• Collaborate with NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Police during incidents and drills.
