Job summary

Fire & Rescue NSW seeks On-Call Firefighters to serve at local FRNSW fire stations. Responsibilities include attending fires and other emergencies, conducting community safety education and participating in drills and training sessions.

Successful applicants will be flexible for day and night shifts, live or work within reasonable distance of a FRNSW station, and hold a valid NSW P1 license. Training is provided on an ongoing basis to develop firefighting and rescue skills.

• Attend fires and other emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents or chemical hazards.
• Engage in community fire safety work and education programs.
• Collaborate with NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Police.
• Respond to incidents and training sessions as required.
