Job summary

Fire and Rescue NSW is seeking On-Call Firefighters who operate from their local Fire Station and respond to emergencies including fires, vehicle accidents, and chemical hazards. You will also provide community safety education to schools, seniors, and local businesses.

Role involves collaborating with other emergency services, and you are paid for incident attendance, training sessions, and education activities.

Qualifications

• Valid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P1).
• Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Live within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station.
• Availability across weekdays and/or weekends, including day and/or night work.

Responsibilities

• Attend fires and other emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents or chemical hazards.
• Conduct community fire safety work and education for schools, seniors, and local businesses.
• Collaborate with NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Police.
