Job description

IAM / Okta Consultant 3-Month Contract (extendable)

Remote
$800 per day

We are partnering with a leading Australian financial services organisation to engage an experienced IAM / Okta Consultant for an initial 3-month contract. This role will support a key identity transformation initiative, focused on expanding and optimising the organisation's identity and access management capabilities across a growing SaaS environment.

Working closely with security, infrastructure, application and business stakeholders, you will play a hands-on role in delivering secure and scalable identity solutions using Okta, while helping to automate and streamline onboarding processes through Infrastructure as Code practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the onboarding and integration of SaaS applications into the Okta platform.
• Configure and administer Okta identity services, including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management and provisioning workflows.
• Design and implement IAM solutions aligned to security and compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain Terraform code to automate identity infrastructure and configuration management.
• Partner with application owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements and drive successful integrations.
• Assess and improve identity governance, access controls and user lifecycle processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related issues across applications and platforms.
• Provide guidance and best-practice recommendations on IAM and Okta capabilities.
• Support knowledge transfer and documentation activities to ensure ongoing operational success.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering Identity and Access Management (IAM) projects within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Okta, including SaaS application integrations.
• Experience implementing Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and user provisioning solutions.
• Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Understanding of identity governance, access management and security best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive outcomes within a fast-paced environment.
