Job summary

Corrections Victoria is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Safety and Assurance Manager at Barwon Prison. This role focuses on promoting safety, coordinating OHS, and addressing violence, slips, trips, manual handling and psychosocial hazards across operations.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to drive the safety management system, deliver proactive health and safety strategies, and partner with managers, supervisors and staff to maximise safety outcomes at multiple

Qualifications

• Subject matter expert in occupational health and safety management systems.
• Experience engaging with diverse stakeholder groups to deliver safety services.
• Solid understanding of OHS legislation and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of safety initiatives with the Safety and Assurance Manager.
• Coordinate day-to-day safety support and advise on health, safety and wellbeing.
