Job summary

TradeTech Australia is seeking an experienced OHS&E Officer to support field teams across civil construction sites. You will identify risks, implement practical controls and foster a proactive safety culture.

You’ll lead risk assessments, investigations and safety briefings, while maintaining compliance documentation and inductions. A White Card and current driver’s licence are required, with travel between sites anticipated.

Qualifications

• Experience in a safety or environmental role within civil construction or utilities.
• Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and environmental obligations on EBA sites.
• Practical, approachable communication and confidence engaging with people at all levels.
• Ability to influence safe behaviours and follow through on actions.
• White Card and current driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel between sites.
• Additional high‑risk work licences are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site safety and environmental inspections across civil construction sites.
• Work with supervisors and crews to identify hazards and implement practical controls.
• Lead risk assessments and incident investigations, and follow through on corrective actions.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Maintain clear reports, compliance registers and audit documentation.
• Help teams meet company, legislative and environmental requirements.
