Job summary

ESG is seeking a part-time QSE/HSE/compliance professional to join our team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will maintain subcontractor compliance, support CoR across operators, and conduct safety/environmental inspections.

You will review SWMS/JSAs and environmental plans, track KPIs, and assist with audits. A valid White Card, driver’s licence and the ability to travel between sites are required. This role offers a company vehicle and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QSE, HSE or compliance role.
• Working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation.
• Understanding of OHS legislation and environmental obligations relevant to construction or earthmoving.
• Strong attention to detail and audit trails.
• Ability to travel between ESG sites within the north/west suburbs.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Ability to work part-time Tue–Fri, 7.00am–4.00pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and auditing subcontractor compliance documentation (licences, insurances, inductions, equipment certifications).
• Monitoring CoR compliance across subcontracted operators and machines.
• Conducting site safety and environmental inspections and supporting investigations and reporting.
• Reviewing SWMS/JSAs and environmental management plans.
• Tracking and reporting safety and compliance KPIs to management.
• Supporting on-site teams to meet client safety and environmental requirements.
• Assisting with audits and closing out corrective actions.
• Delivering toolbox talks, inductions and compliance training.
