Job summary

EnerMech Ltd is seeking a Crane Maintenance Technician to join our offshore maintenance team in Western Australia. The role focuses on routine and planned maintenance and repair of pedestal cranes and lifting equipment, with strict adherence to OEM manuals and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will hold a Mechanical Trade Qualification (Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter) and have hands-on crane experience, including hydraulics, winches, ropes and brake systems.

Qualifications

• Must have practical experience inspecting, maintaining and repairing cranes and lifting equipment.
• Ability to read OEM manuals and engineering drawings.
• Strong fault-finding in hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Experience with wire rope replacement and reeving is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and planned maintenance and repair on pedestal cranes and associated components (power plant, hydraulic, pneumatic, winches, ropes, etc.).
• Document all planned routine and periodic maintenance tasks including spares usage.
• Carry out restricted crane operation for maintenance and functional testing where trained.
• Assist offshore platform maintenance crew and coordinate with offshore management for maintenance activities.
