Job summary

JMACX Offroad Solutions on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a Design Assistant with strong CAD skills to help develop cutting-edge 4WD products. You will create detailed CAD designs and collaborate with engineering, production and sales teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.

Based in Corbould Park, this full-time role offers hands-on design work, a pathway to growth, and a culture that values craftsmanship and practical innovation in the automotive space.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software used for 4WD components and assemblies.
• Experience in mechanical/automotive design or related engineering fields.
• Ability to interpret technical specs and translate them into workable designs.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed CAD designs, drawings, and models for 4WD product parts, accessories, and custom builds
• Assist with product development, from concept sketches through to final design revisions
• Work closely with engineering, production, and workshop teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality & safety standards
• Update and maintain CAD libraries and design documentation
• Review designs for fitment, tolerance, and function, suggesting improvements where needed
• Collaborate on drawings for quotes, prototypes, testing, and final release
