From humble roots in Eromanga, QLD, we’ve been fuelling the furthest corners of Australia for over 40 years. But we think the most exciting journey’s still on the horizon.

Joining IOR means stepping into a role where your work genuinely matters. As our Office Based Account Manager, you'll play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, growing customer value, and supporting sales success across our Network & Bulk customer portfolio. You'll be part of a supportive team that values initiative, customer focus, and collaboration, while helping customers get the most from their partnership with IOR. This is an opportunity to build strong commercial skills, make a genuine impact on customer outcomes, and contribute to a business that continues to grow, evolve, and deliver for Australia every day.

About the role

This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers through proactive account management, customer support, and business development activities. You'll work closely with the Sales team, engage with customers to identify growth opportunities, maintain strong CRM records, and support initiatives that retain customers, reactivate dormant accounts, and drive new business growth.

  • Manage a portfolio of Network & Bulk customers, qualifying inbound leads and proactively engaging with assigned customer and prospect lists to uncover new opportunities.
  • Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication, account reviews, and responsive support that delivers outstanding customer experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to grow customer value, increase wallet share, expand customer sites, and support customer retention initiatives.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing requests, and sales documentation while maintaining accurate customer activity and opportunity records within CRM systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team and Sales Support Manager to progress opportunities, reactivate dormant accounts, and support daily sales operations.

What you'll bring

You'll bring strong relationship-building skills, a proactive sales mindset, and a genuine passion for customer service. You're organised, commercially minded, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in account management, customer service, sales support, or business development will position you for success, along with confidence using CRM systems and collaborating across teams.

  • Proven experience in account management, customer service, sales support, or business development, with a strong focus on customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and telephone skills with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with a diverse customer base.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage customer information, sales activities, and reporting requirements.
  • Proactive, customer-focused, and commercially aware, with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and contribute to sales growth.

Approaching each day through our values of Innovation finding solutions, Our Communities serving people, and Reliability getting results, our team is focused on delivering what really matters to our customers. It’s this mindset that drives us forward. We’re about so much more than fuel. We’re about three key things:

  • Right Team: It’s the kind of place where you walk in the door and instantly know you belong
  • Right Track: We’re going somewhere, and as we get bigger, so do the opportunities to get stuck in and challenge yourself
  • Right Now: There’s no dragging feet or endless committees here. We deliver for Australia every single day

You’ll also be rewarded with a range of benefits, including:

  • Grow your expertise and career with access to experienced mentors and ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Team member and family discounts on fuel (obviously!)
  • Work hard, play hard with our Blue Squad social club – trivia nights, barbecues and plenty of laughs!
