Hudson RPO is seeking an experienced Office & Operations Manager to join our international organisation, based in Canberra. This hands-on role combines office operations, finance administration, events, procurement and communications coordination to support senior leadership and programme teams.

The position is permanent, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities spanning day-to-day administration, budgeting, procurement and travel management, plus event delivery and stakeholder liaison.

Qualifications

  • Experience in office, business or operations management.
  • Experience in an international, government, not-for-profit, policy, education or research environment is highly regarded.
  • Strong financial administration and budget management skills.
  • Ability to manage suppliers, procurement and contracts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, administration, records and service providers.
  • Support finance processes including reconciliations, payments, budgets, forecasting and reporting.
  • Coordinate procurement, supplier contracts, office equipment, assets and fleet administration.
  • Manage domestic and international travel for staff, guests and delegations.
  • Coordinate conferences, events and delegation visits, including venues, accommodation, catering, AV and registrations.
  • Manage event budgets, suppliers, documentation and post-event reconciliation.
  • Coordinate website updates, newsletters, invitations and database communications.
  • Support production of digital and print publication.
  • Build relationships with external suppliers, partners and stakeholders.
  • Support audits, process improvements and broader operational projects.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Office & Operations Manager to join an international organisation supporting programmes across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

The Role

This is a diverse, hands‑on role combining office operations, finance administration, events, procurement and communications coordination. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and programme teams to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the office and delivery of key initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day‑to‑day office operations, administration, records and service providers
  • Supporting finance processes including reconciliations, payments, budgets, forecasting and reporting
  • Coordinating procurement, supplier contracts, office equipment, assets and fleet administration
  • Managing domestic and international travel for staff, guests and delegations
  • Coordinating conferences, events and delegation visits, including venues, accommodation, catering, AV and registrations
  • Managing event budgets, suppliers, documentation and post‑event reconciliation

About You

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive professional with:

  • Experience in office, business or operations management
  • Experience within an international, government, not‑for‑profit, policy, education or research environment would be highly regarded.
  • Strong financial administration and budget management skills
  • Confidence managing suppliers, procurement and contracts
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Confidence engaging with senior and external stakeholders
