Job summary

Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service in Toowoomba, QLD, is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist within the Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team (MIRT). You will deliver advanced mental health OT services to adults with complex needs, work with a multidisciplinary team, and drive recovery-focused outcomes in the community.

You will lead service-improvement initiatives, mentor colleagues, and contribute to clinical excellence while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an Occupational Therapist and eligibility to practise in Australia.
• Strong experience delivering mental health occupational therapy services for adults with complex needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead service improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical excellence.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist within the Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team (MIRT), you'll play an important role in supporting adults experiencing mental health challenges to build independence, wellbeing, and participation in everyday life. From delivering advanced clinical care to driving recovery-focused outcomes in the community, you'll work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping people achieve meaningful and lasting change.
