Job summary

Sunshine Coast Health in southeast Queensland is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead independent clinical practice on a complex caseload and contribute to a patient-centred vision across the service.

You will provide high-level clinical advice and supervise less experienced staff, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The role offers a six-month fixed-term appointment with a competitive salary and strong superannuation benefits.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Deliver independent high level Occupational Therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
• Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
• Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapy practitioners and students as delegated.
• Communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to influence the culture towards a common, patient-centred vision and direction.

Remuneration value up to $157 359 p.a., comprising salary between $4912.70 - $5286.40 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed Term Temporary position available for 6 months with possible extension).
