Hospital in Your Home in Townsville, North Queensland, seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our frailty programs. This home-based role offers flexibility and a focus on independence and ageing in place.

You will assess, plan and deliver therapy in clients' homes, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to program development. AHPRA-registered OT with at least 1 year of relevant experience is required.

Formación

• Must be an OT with AHPRA registration and a degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience in rehabilitation, community or home care.
• Experience addressing the needs of elderly and/or disabled clients.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team collaboration.
• Commitment to client-centred, evidence-based care and ongoing professional development.

Occupational Therapist – Home based Care. Permanent Part-time/Full time

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our frailty programs at Hospital in Your Home in Townsville, North Queensland. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, innovative occupational therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. As an Occupational Therapist on our frailty team, you will play a vital role in supporting the independence and wellbeing of our elderly and vulnerable clients.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client
• Provide hands-on therapy and support to help clients maintain or improve their functional independence in daily living activities
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure a coordinated approach to client care
• Educate clients and their families on techniques and strategies to promote safety and facilitate ageing in place
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our frailty programs by identifying opportunities for innovation and growth

What we’re looking for

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Minimum 1 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation, community-based or home care setting
• Demonstrated expertise in addressing the unique needs of elderly and/or disabled clients
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective therapy interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with clients, families and the multidisciplinary team
• A passion for providing client-centred, evidence-based care and a commitment to continual professional development
