Job summary

Scottvale Health Club in Toowoomba, Queensland is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a part-time role in our community health clinic. You will deliver high-quality OT services onsite with support from Allied Health Assistants to implement plans and maintain client engagement.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, be registered with AHPRA, and have at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience, ideally in community-based or rehabilitation settings.
• Registration with AHPRA as a practicing Occupational Therapist.
• Strong clinical reasoning and practical assessment/intervention skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support in-person client and team interactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person, comprehensive assessments to identify clients' functional abilities, limitations, and support needs.
• Develop and oversee individualised treatment plans to enhance independence, safety, and quality of life.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions onsite, including cognitive training, functional skill development, and recommendations for adaptive equipment or environmental modifications.
• Coordinate with Allied Health Assistants to ensure therapy plans are carried out effectively and safely.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and other health professionals to provide coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate client records and contribute to the development of therapy resources.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.

About the Role

Scottvale Health Club is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. Based onsite at our Toowoomba, Queensland clinic, this flexible role involves delivering high-quality occupational therapy services directly to clients within our health centre. You will be supported by our on-site Allied Health Assistants, who assist with implementing therapy plans and maintaining client engagement.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For
