Job summary

Uniting AgeWell Limited in Bendigo invites an Occupational Therapist to deliver home-based services for clients aged 65+. You will focus on independence, safety, environmental modification, and equipment prescription, supporting reablement and client-centred goals.

You will work in a permanent, full-time or flexible FTE arrangement with supervision from our Practice Lead and collaboration with a large OT team and scheduling team as well as local on-site staff.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in Community Aged Care with HCP/SAH services.
• Knowledge of clinical practice for 65+ clientele.
• Ability to manage a caseload autonomously and work independently.
• Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
• Valid driver's license and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Deliver home-based Occupational Therapy services in the Bendigo region for 65+ clients.
• Improve functional independence, modify environments, prescribe equipment, and support reablement.
• Provide supervision and work with a large OT team and scheduling/operations staff.
• Support professional development and maintain evidence-based practice.

About the role:

You will deliver home-based Occupational Therapy services in the Bendigo region for clients aged 65+ accessing services through their Support at Home (SAH) package. The role focuses on functional independence, environmental modification, equipment prescription, and reablement.

This is an ongoing permanent position with full-time or flexible FTE options, including family-friendly hours and varied working days.

You will receive regular one-to-one supervision and support from our Practice Lead. You'll also be supported by a large team of OTs, the Allied Health scheduling team, the Operations Manager, and local on-site staff.

You are an Occupational Therapist with strong clinical reasoning skills, a client-centred approach, and a commitment to continuous learning. You are motivated to deliver high-quality care, adapt to varied client needs, and contribute to a positive team culture. You value evidence-based practice and support older adults to maximise independence, safety, and wellbeing.

We are looking for individuals with:

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Experience in Community Aged Care with clients receiving HCP/SAH services
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical practice working with a variety of health conditions in 65+ year old clientele
• The ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload independently
• Have full Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance
• Have a valid driver's license and access to a car

• A current Working With Children Check card
• Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
