Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT in Central West/Cowra is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Home Care team, delivering evidence-based assessments and interventions to help older Australians live independently at home.

You will contribute to reablement and restorative care within a supportive, values-driven team, with flexible work-from-home options and a focus on client-centred care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in aged care community settings.
• Post graduate experience in rehabilitation and community settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models.
• Confident working independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based OT assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs.
• Focus on reablement and restorative care to maintain or regain independence.
• Work with clients in Central West/Cowra and surrounding areas to support independent living at home.

About the role

BaptistCare is one of Australia’s largest home care providers and a leader in service quality and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist PT or FT, to join our growing team in Central West/Cowra and surrounding areas.
You will deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs, with a focus on reablement and restorative care. Your work will help older people maintain or regain independence, mobility, and confidence to remain living at home.

You will be joining an established and supportive group of health professionals who share a passion for helping older Australians live well. About you

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
• Demonstrated abilityto assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients in the community
• Post graduate experience working with in a variety of aged care services, including rehabilitation and community settings
• Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models
• Confident working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated computer literacy

• Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain
• Unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a reliable, registered vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage car insurance.
