Job summary

BaptistCare is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Central West/Cowra team, delivering assessments and interventions to help older Australians live independently at home.

Work flexibly with no weekends or shift work, use evidence-based practices, and contribute to a supportive, values-driven organisation focused on Well-Living outcomes.

Qualifications

• OT degree with current AHPRA registration.
• Ability to assess OT needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients in the community.
• Postgraduate experience in aged care, rehab or community settings.
• Knowledge of reablement and restorative care models.
• Confident working independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.
• Alignment with BaptistCare’s values and mission.
• Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

About the role

BaptistCare is one of Australia’s largest home care providers and a leader in service quality and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist PT or FT, to join our growing team in the Central West/Cowra and surrounding areas.

You will deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs, with a focus on reablement and restorative care. Your work will help older people maintain or regain independence, mobility, and confidence to remain living at home.

About you

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
• Demonstrated abilityto assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients in the community
• Post graduate experience working with in a variety of aged care services, including rehabilitation and community settings
• Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models
• Confident working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated computer literacy

• Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain
• Unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a reliable, registered vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage car insurance.
