Job summary

Uniting AgeWell is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver focused home-based services for older clients under Support at Home and STRC programs. You will work to maximise independence and wellbeing in the community, with regular team meetings and clinical supervision.

Applicants must have a recognised OT qualification, current AHPRA registration, and the ability to work autonomously within a team, with a valid driver's license and Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical practice.
• Experience in Community Aged Care (Desirable).
• Experience with home safety assessments and home modifications/equipment (Desirable).
• Have full Australian working rights and be able to pass a national police clearance.
• Thrive in a team and also value one-to-one interactions.
• Have a registered car and a current drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused home-based occupational therapy services for older clients under Support at Home and STRC programs.
• Enhance client independence and wellbeing with goal-directed care in the community.

Job Description

With a strong focus on enhancing customer wellbeing, as the qualified Occupational Therapist you will be responsible for providing focused home-based services for older clientele with a variety of health conditions. You will be providing services under Support at Home and STRC programs.

Our service focuses on clients' strengths, is goal-directed and aims to maximise independence and autonomy so clients can remain living independently in the community. Our Occupational Therapy team is a large and supportive team with regular team meetings, one-to-one clinical supervision and support from the Clinical lead of Occupational Therapy.

We are looking for individuals with:

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical practice
• Experience working in the Community Aged Care sector (Desirable)
• Experience completing Home safety assessments and Home modification/equipment recommendations (Desirable)
• Have full Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance
