Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver home-based assessments and interventions for older adults in the Canberra region. The role focuses on reablement and restorative care to help clients live independently at home.

Applicants must hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration and have experience in aged care or rehabilitation. You will work in a supportive multidisciplinary team and can contribute to a wellbeing-focused, client-centred service.

About the role

BaptistCare is one of Australia’s largest home care providers and a leader in service quality and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist PT or FT, to join our growing team in the Canberra and surrounding areas.
You will deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs, with a focus on reablement and restorative care. Your work will help older people maintain or regain independence, mobility, and confidence to remain living at home.

About you

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
• Demonstrated abilityto assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients in the community
• Post graduate experience working with in a variety of aged care services, including rehabilitation and community settings
• Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models
• Confident working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated computer literacy

• Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain
• Unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a reliable, registered vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage car insurance.
